Intergroup Service Committee
Intergroup is our local AA service office, established and supported by District 5 AA groups and members, helps carry the AA message within our district; it is a partnership of AA groups just as an AA group is a partnership of individuals. Intergroup maintains the 24-Hour Hotline (941-426-7723) which makes A.A. available to anyone in the community who may have a problem with alcohol. Intergroup service office relies on AA group members for Twelfth-Step service work. Service at an Intergroup office usually consists of answering the Intergroup's phones, arranging AA member Twelfth-Step contacts for newcomers, helping callers to get to meetings and organizing and distributing literature.
